Magnetic MRO has Added MAC Interiors to Develop a 3D Printing System
MAC and Magnetic MRO have joined forces to create a new innovate technology that has never been seen before in the industry. As a team, both companies have begun to work on a new 3D printing for more advanced production in the industry to enhance quality interior solution and be more cost effective in producing. Initially discovered by MRO (aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) company’s R&D specialist when asked to search further into MAC for other extensive opportunities. In doing so the specialist discovered that there was much growth and opportunities for MAC to get out of the 3D printer which later resulted in them integrating the 3D in the systems for the very first time in MACs history.
MAC has started some work with an aircraft interior product manufacture that have begun to design and produce some prototypes and “mock ups” for their newly produced client’s products. This was the first time the 3D printer has ever been printed for a client. Finishing touches are added to the end of the production which include gluing, sanding, and painting of the product. All of steps to production have been under close supervision of the Magnetic MRO to ensure the completion with their full capability.
With their new latest 3D innovation, Magnetic MRO is to open their new state of the art painting facility on Oct 12th in Tallinn, Estonia which will be working alongside the Tallinn Airport. The new facility is to be placed in a hangar that is estimated to be anywhere from 2,000- 4,000 sqm. I will come equipped with “a custom docking system which can be tailored to serve different types of aircraft; which will lead the facility to become one of a kind in the whole Baltic region.” The painting station is to be able to paint up to 4 commercial A/C aircrafts or can paint a 2 VIP aircraft per month.
